first_img1 Wayne Routledge in action for Swansea Wayne Routledge has pledged his future to Swansea after signing a new one-year contract extension.The 29-year-old’s new deal sees him commit to the Swans until the summer of 2018.Routledge had struggled to settle at a host of other sides before joining the Welsh outfit in 2011.But he has been one of the club’s most consisent performers since his arrival and has started all five of their league games this season, netting a stunning volley in the win over West Brom.“He deserves it because in my time here he’s probably been our most consistent performer – and he’s still performing,” said Swans boss Garry Monk.“His time before coming here was well documented but he’s now found a home, somewhere he can be himself.”last_img
